Objective: Ascent of Peak Lenin Trip Dates: Outfitter: REI Expeditions (Seattle, WA). Costs:
Itinerary: Visited and toured Moscow on trip run by REI; went on Ukrainian/Russian/American/Japanese expedition to climb Peak Lenin in Kyrgystan, but only reached 22,000 ft. (due partly to altitude sickness and overexertion, but also to contentious infighting among group leaders; on way back, visited St. Petersburg, and met with Inge, Jeff, and Jonas in Copenhagen, Denmark.
